Love these bedrooms!

I found this blog from a friends blog list and I love how she decorated her daughters rooms. They look so good! I think the thing that makes them the most fun is the wallpaper (and the beds but I sure those were expensive!). I am seriously thinking about doing this in the kid's room.

Does anyone know how expensive or hard it would be to put up fun wallpaper like this?

Spiky Hair

This is Emma's new favorite hairdo!

"I'm all potty tained. I'm growing up."

Emma is all potty trained! My mom helped me do it when she was here a few weeks ago. The two main keys that helped her were one, the "Potty Party Chart" and two, the dolly that would go potty. Thanks to my mom for both of these ideas. My mom would pretend the doll was going to the bathroom and hide a cup of water behind the doll and pour it into the toilet. Dolly would have to go and have her turn and then of course Emma wanted her turn. She thought it was great. The "Potty Party Chart" was a huge hit. Every time she went to the bathroom in the toilet, even a little, she would get a sticker. When she filled up the clouds with the stickers she got a Popsicle party. She loves anything that has to do with stickers, parties, and Popsicles so this was great motivation.
When she goes to the bathroom she says "I'm potty trained. I am growing up." Go Emma!

I found a winner!

I have gone through six different binkies to find the one Eli will take/like. Emma took a binkie great and it was so nice. It helped put her to bed and sooth her. I definitely wanted Eli to take a binkie but he just was not interested in it and would not keep them in. I was beginning to think he wasn't a binkie baby. I tried five different types of binkies and told myself that the one I bought today was the last, if he didn't take it then he just wasn't going to be a binkie baby. He took it right away and kept it in great, it is SO nice! I could actually make my self lunch without having to hold him.

Binkie Vs. Pacifier Vs. ? What do you call it? Am I weird for calling it a binkie?

Look at me smile!

Eli started smiling at 4 weeks and now at 6 weeks he is a pro. We can get him to smile on demand any time we want. It is so fun and rewarding!
Eli's blessing day.

Here is my mom with the kids. She flew out for two weeks She was so much help and we were sad to see her go. We had a GREAT time together. When we dropped her off at the airport Emma cried so hard. Whenever she sees a plane she says, "There is Grandma! She's flying home to see Grandpa!" Come back mom, we miss you!
Luke's parents visited us right when Eli was born. It had been about 15 months since we had seen them last and were so happy they were able to come. We worked on the house a lot, ate lots of yummy food, and had a lot of late card game night! We can't wait to see them again.

We are looking forward to our season pass at the Dallas Zoo! We have already been twice since we bought it last month.

Happy Anniversary Luke!

Today is our 4 year anniversary! Here are some of the things I love most about my hubby Luke:

He is the best Dad ever and loves to play with and take care of his kids! The way he talks and acts with Emma and Eli makes me melt.

He has a great sense of humor and loves to be spontaneous and do fun things. He still makes me dance with him to the credits after almost every movie and how many guys do you know that would dress up as Raggidy Ann and Andy for Halloween? He is never afraid of what others think or say.

He is a very compassionate person. If there is anyone with a need or that has less than us he is always there wanting to help where we can.

He is my best friend, loves to do nice things for me, and is one Hot Daddy!! We love to do a lot of the same things and he doesn't mind watching a chick flick every now and then or helping me with something crafty I am working on. I value his opinion so much because he always knows best, whether it is advice about something or what color of curtains to buy, he always knows best.

I don't know how I lucked out with snagging Luke but I feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful husband.

Our Little Guy!

Here are a few pictures of little Eli. He is 2 1/2 weeks old, is such a good baby, and sleeps ALL OF THE TIME! Emma loves having a little brother and has been so good with him. Emma and Eli are the joys of our lives and we feel so blessed to have them! Grandma and Grandpa Christensen flew into town for 9 days and just left this morning. More pictures will be coming of their visit and Easter.

Luke has been so helpful and has been great about letting mommy sleep even if it means sleeping in Emma's bed half the night to get her to go back to sleep. They are so cute!
