Easy Heart Garland

I made this easy heart garland the other night. I saw it online at http://madebyrae.blogspot.com/2010/01/easiest-heart-garland-evar.html. I just happened to have some felt lying around and whipped it up. Super easy and super adorable!

Emma's Drawing

Emma loves to paint and draw. Today she drew this beautiful picture of our family. She is at such a fun age and the things she does just amaze me! From left to right it goes Emma, Mommy, Eli, and Daddy.

Thanks Luke!

Luke came home from Idaho several days before I did because of work. He was home for a weekend before he started work and got a lot done around the house. He fixed the kitchen sink, patched our shower, redid a shelf that had fallen down, cleaned drains, and even put away ALL of the Christmas decorations! Do I have the best husband or what!
When I got home we were putting the luggage and Christmas boxes away in the attic and all the sudden I head a crunch and see Luke's foot come crashing through the ceiling. My initial reaction was that he had broken his foot but no worries no harm done, to Luke that is. He lost his balance and put his foot right through the sheet rock. I am just glad it was in the garage and not our living room!

Christmas is over?!

Apparently my blog never got the memo that Christmas has come and gone!

We got to see both our families for Christmas in Idaho and Montana and had a blast! We also learned how much work it is to travel with two kids and learned all about ALL the stuff you have to bring with you! Crazy! Here are some highlights of December and the holidays. Enjoy!
Snow! Yes is snowed in Dallas in December!
Emma actually happy with Santa this year. That is a first.
Snowflake sandwiches!
Here is Emma and her buddies acting out the nativity. Rachel is Mary, Emma is baby Jesus, and Owen was just chillin there for the show.
Grandpa and Grandma Jones. How nice to see them!
My mom and step-dad with the kids.
Emma and her cousin Victoria. Emma has 2 three year old cousins on each side, Victoria and Josefina. We first went to Montana and Emma called Josefina "Victoria" for the first several days. When she finally called her by the right name we left for Idaho where she called Victoria "Josefina" for several days. Poor girl!
Having fun in the snow! What a fun grandma!
Here is my dad and his wife with the crew.
We got to visit our adorable niece Brittany in Rexburg. What a cute girl!
Emma having more fun in the snow.
Eli opening his first Christmas present, ever! P.J.'s for Christmas Eve.
Here are the cousins admiring the cookies for Santa and of course carrots for the reindeer.
Making cookies for Santa.
Grandma reading the girls Christmas stories.
Eli was sick while we were gone and got double ear infections. :(
This photo is hilarious! I love Josefina's big eyes.
Look at this bathing beauty! Got to love really nice cameras! (Thanks for the great pic Mark!)
Cousinly love!

Awesome family pictures taken by my awesome brother-in-law.

Potty at the Park

It never fails that whenever we get to the park Emma has to go potty. Not every time but a good majority of the time. And yes, she has even peed her pants at the park. I was there with a friend and all the sudden we see something dripping, really pouring, out of the big tube the kids were in. We left embarrassed and feeling sorry for the other kids that were at the park! To my credit I did spray it off with a huge water bottle my friend had.

So we were at the park yesterday and went potty right before we left and of course after being there for 5 minutes Emma has to go potty. I asked if she could hold it and she said she could. About 20 minutes later I could tell it was getting to the point where she REALLY had to go. So, announcing that we had to go my oh so smart friend Melissa said, "I have a potty in my trunk she can use." Who carries a potty in there trunk? SMART moms do! So, we got the potty out, set it in our car, and she sat on the potty like she would anywhere else. Of course you have to dump the pee or heaven forbid take the poop home but you don't have to leave the park!

If you have ever had a toddler have to go to the bathroom at the park I think you will agree as to what a great idea this is! If you don't have kids you will probably just think this is weird but o'well. Sad the things that get us moms excited.

It's off!

The week we left for our holiday vacation, about the middle of December, Eli got his helmet off, YEAH! It has been so nice. He has a nice round shaped head! The helmet really did work wonders and we are glad we had him wear it but also glad to say goodbye to it!

Vacation!

We have been on vacation for the holiday since December 17th. We went to Montana for Christmas to visit Luke's family and are now in Idaho with my family. We have been enjoying family, the snow, and eating lots of yummy food! I know I have been ignoring my blog but it has been a busy last month! We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! More pictures to come.
